Gary Sanders started work as a mason tender after he graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1964. By 1965, he was laying brick for a local mason. In 1966, he went to Bricklaying School in Storm Lake, Iowa. After graduation, he kept laying brick for the local mason who sent him to school.

In 1967, he worked in a masonry union in Omaha, Nebraska. He became a mason subcontractor in 1968 which led to a partnership from 1971 to 1984.

Gary knows the value of reputation. When he started his own business in 1984, he knew it could only be built on one thing: His Name. Thirty years later, his three sons, along with several employees who've been with the company since inception, ensure the values of Gary Sanders Masonry carry on.
